VALENCIA - SPAIN

Spain's 3rd largest city has gained even
more prominence since being
chosen as the venue of the 32nd America's

on the eastern

of Spain enjoying
a temperate climate
and is an ideal
base from which
to tour the
region.Valencia is the capital of the autonomous Valencian
Community which includes the provinces of Castellon and
Alicante and its extensive coastline includes the Costa Azahar

There are already excellent road, rail and air links to the city and plans are under way to improve these facilities even further to cope with the expected influx of visitors. The city of Valencia boasts a wonderful mixture
of old and new. From beautiful churches and museums to the ultra modern and exciting
science & technology museum alongside a similarly
splendid aquarium and marine centre. Both the
latter are magnificent examples of modern
architecture with absolutely acres of glass, and
have become a focal feature of the city from
the air.www.cac.es

"In Valencia there is something for everyone,
of whatever age or taste."

The city boasts many restaurants and has a good selection
of bars, cinemas etc. where you can relax after an
exciting day "at the races".

Needless to say, as well as the sailing facilities, you are
never far away from a beach where you can enjoy all the
other water sports on offer in the area, such as
scuba diving, water skiing etc.
